Making this world better is fun. Doing it
together still more.
Welcome! Thank you for your interest. CourtFool articles are
based on extensive research. They appear once or twice a year. Numerous persons have
helped in the background: scientists, researchers, specialists in various
domains and many occasional contacts. We also owe a lot to reporters, newspapers
and institutions around the world, who collect informations and allow free
access to them. Without them these researches would not be possible.
Do you also think these articles are worth to be better known?
Well, then join us for a moment, or longuer if you want, and enjoy the pleasure
of participating!
Sofar, these articles are ignored by most of the mainstream
media. They are mainly circulated on the internet. Hundreds of people already
helped to make them reach hundreds of thousands of readers via more than 200 websites. And
thanks
to the work of great volunteers most articles are available in seven languages now.
There is interest from all over the world. To offer access to these articles
everywhere, it is just a matter of many relatively small tasks.
This page gives an overview. You can participate by picking up a
task that suits you.
The
fastest and easiest way to help us is to google some addresses of people who may
be interested to read or publish an article. On the internet, there are tens of
thousands of email addresses of people around the world who would be interested
in receiving these articles. If visitors from different
countries help find these addresses, we can divulguate the articles world
wide. Just jump to the Address
Seekers page and see how easy it is. Even if you can only contribute for
a quarter of an hour, you can be extremely useful this way.
CourtFool-diplomats
If you are willing to
take up a more important task and have the skills for it, you are invited to
take up the
role of a CourtFool-diplomat for a country you know
well. This role comprises the search of relevant email addresses and sending
around new
articles once or twice a year. This way, you can bring the articles to the attention of thousands - often tens of thousands - of
new readers. However, you
need diplomatic skills to do this successfully.
In an ideal situation there would be
one person in each country, who handles the
distribution of new articles in his/her country. In the first place he/she
googles all appropriate websites in his/her country and proposes the articles
for publication.
Ideally he/she also knows
where to find the names and email addresses of
parliamentarians, senators, secretaries of political parties, trade unions, action
groups, news
services, appropriate TV-program makers, web publishers etc. (See Address
Seekers page for more details.) And, of course, when address seekers find
additional addresses for your country, they will be
transmitted to you.
Information creates awareness among the population, but also
among the rulers and politicians. CourtFool issues are not related to left-wing or right-wing politics. The
issues affect humanity as a whole. Therefor, CourtFool diplomats inform all
parties without discrimination.
To bring the articles to the attention of the addressees it
takes more than just sending them by email. Nearly all email addresses and
contact pages on your list are publicly known. Often the addressees receive
dozens or hundreds of messages each day. The art is to distinguish yourself and to get
positive attention, at least of the key persons. You will receive a few
guidelines by mail. In any case, CourtFool diplomats treat all adressees with
great respect and never lose their temper.
You won't have to use your personal email account to handle
these contacts. As a CourtFool-diplomat you will receive a special email
account with access to CourtFool's
webmail.
You want to consider this task? Please send me an
email and indicate for which country.
Translators
Extremely important
are the persons who translate articles, preferably from English, French or Dutch
into their mother tongue. Each translation opens the way to thousands and often
to many tens of thousands of readers. Translations into any language are very,
very
welcome!
Information stops at the barriers of
languages. If you speak more than one langage, you can help the articles cross these barriers.
However, even if you are not a professional translator, readers must be
certain your translation is correct. If, during a translation, you have the
slightest doubt about the meaning of an expression or a sentence, you must imperatively ask me
for additional explanations. I will be very happy to answer you as quickly as
I can. (I speak English, French and Dutch, for help in other languages it
takes a bit more time.)
Today, CourtFool has sections for seven languages. At the moment, in Spanish and Portuguese, there are still a
few translations missing. So, if you happen to be a native Spanish or Portuguese speaker,
please consider translating one of the missing articles. In particular "Out
of the euro, and then?" is an article about a hot subject and
very important for the people in Spain
and Portugal.
If you speak another language than the seven that are already
present, it would be great if you could help set up a section for your
language so your countrymen can read the articles too.
Text Correctors
We would also
appreciate the help of Text Correctors, who review a text before publication.
(In particular when a text has been translated into your language by a
foreigner.) Text Correctors should be able to correct badly formed sentences and
errors in grammar and orthography. For the moment we would appreciate the help
of a native French and a native English speaking corrector.
The help of these Text Correctors is very important. Indeed,
when a text is badly written, visitors stop reading it and click away.
If you have good language skills and want to do this job,
please send me a mail.
Publishers
More and more publishers
around the world propose CourtFool's articles to their readers. From little
websites to notorious news sites, from discussion forums to national wide
magazines, they all contribute in making the articles better known. In the left column you
can see a list of over 200 websites having published one or more articles.
You may copy the articles from
www.courtfool.info and publish them freely. Images within the articles, unless explicitely stated
otherwise, are also free of copyright.
Be aware, that others may copy CourtFool articles from your website. Therefor,
do not cut or alter them. If you publish a part of an article, please mention
the location of the original article on
www.courtfool.info (A working link to the original article will be
appreciated, but is not imperative.)
When you publish an article and inform me about it, I will mention the name of your website on each page of CourtFool.info,
with links to your publication.
If you want to be informed when a new article appears, just click on one of the links on the homepage of
www.CourtFool.info. If you are a
publisher, I would appreciate a lot, if you add your name and the name of your website, magazine or
newspaper. When possible, you will then receive the articles under embargo,
leaving you time to prepare the articles before the authorized date of
publication.
Text Writers
Another way to help drawing the
attention to the articles of CourtFool.info is to write reactions on
publications on the internet or in newspapers. If you have good skills to write
such reactions and if you don’t mind to spend a bit of your time when
opportunities arrise, please join the Writers.
An article gets a lot more attention,
when its subject is on focus in the news. That is why it is important to
propose them at such moments, for instance by mentioning the article in a
reaction on a news article. As my articles are based on long research, their
publication generally does not coincide with a related event. But because they
are always about the big world problems, related events will happen over and
over again and form opportunities to draw the attention to the hidden causes.
Article re-writers
CourtFool articles are
generally too long for newspapers and magazines. Besides, they want exclusive
articles. If you have the skills to write short versions of the articles for newspapers
or magazines in your country (or
elsewhere), you are welcome to do so!
I always try to make my articles comprehensive for a very wide
public. That is why they are explicite, with many details and explanations.
That makes them too long for the average newspaper. Depending on the public
you are writing for, things can be left out. If you know newspapers or
magazines interested in short versions, then please go ahead.
Cartonists
Textes become more
attractive when they
are illustrated by a cartoon. If you draw cartoons and if the content of the
CourtFool articles inspires you to submit a cartoon, then be welcome!
When you draw a cartoon for an
article, please keep in mind that this article will be read by people in over
a hundred countries, with a still greater variety of cultures. Preferably your
cartoon can be understood everywhere.
Others
And of course, there are many other ways
to help. If you have good ideas, don't hesitate to share them here.
Thank you for your participation!
